Zone4Croydon: rezone Croydon’s stations to save commuters hundreds

Sarah is campaigning for Croydon’s two main railway stations, East Croydon and West Croydon, to be ‘rezoned’ to boost Croydon’s economy and save commuters hundreds.

A Zone 4/5 model would make it cheaper to travel to and from inner London while ensuring those travelling here from outer London don’t pay more. It has already been successfully implemented in Stratford.

Would you like to see Croydon’s stations rezoned? Sign the petition below.

PETITION: TO DEPARTMENT FOR TRANSPORT AND TRANSPORT FOR LONDON

We the undersigned call on the Government and Transport for London to rezone Croydon’s train stations into a new Zone 4/5 boundary zone.

With the growth seen in East London since the London 2012 Olympics and successful rezoning of Stratford station to a Zone 2/3 boundary zone – and continued transport investment in North and West London – it is only right that South London gets a boost to drive jobs and local growth.

With excellent transport links, new housing developments and billions of pounds in planned investment into the town, Croydon is perfectly positioned to be at the heart of South London’s growth.

Rezoning won’t just save commuters money, it will help attract new businesses to the town, encourage visitors to shop here and help local companies hire the best talent London has to offer.

We support the campaign to rezone Croydon’s stations as soon as possible.

Signed,
Zone4Croydon
